While Trivela's takeover of Silkeborg IF was never in doubt, Ben Boycott had his work cut out to get the club's sceptical supporters onside. He seemed to manage it, for the most part.
Regular readers of Love Is The Drog will know that back in December, I travelled to Denmark to find out more about the club that was on the verge of becoming the fourth branch of the growing Trivela tree - Silkeborg IF. While there, I took in a game (an entertaining 2-2 draw with AGF in the Danish Cup) and spoke to Trivela CEO and Drogheda United co-chairman Ben Boycott, club officials, journalists and supporters too). I also published a couple of stories and there are links to those below.
The following is a partial transcript of the fans forum held at Silkeborg IF’s JYSK Park stadium on Monday December 9 last. It includes - in full - all of Boycott’s answers put to him, first by Midtjyllands Avis editor Hans Krabbe and then by supporters in attendance.

Hopefully it provides you with more insight into Trivela’s intentions in Denmark, how their work so far at Drogheda and Walsall will inform it and how it might impact the Drogs going forward.
