From classroom to boardroom, Drogheda's Niamh Leonard has seen, done and felt it all

A journey that began at the club's lowest ebb has taken in all of the highs, lows and everything in between that football can provide.

Drogheda United’s Niamh Leonard has fundraised, worked the turnstiles, stocked the shelves of the club shop, sold lotto tickets, overseen match night operations and everything else imaginable.

It is particularly fitting that on International Women’s Day 2025, Drogheda United sit at the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division. Behind every great team are the women who make it possible and that is as much the case on Boyneside as anywhere else.
