"Once they don't start calling me grandad, I think I'll be okay" - How Drogheda are filling the experience void

The 2024 campaign saw the swansongs of Dave Webster, Gary Deegan and Adam Foley in Drogheda United’s claret-and-blue - but Ryan Brennan remains.

Calculating the exact number of matches across all competitions that a League of Ireland career spans, especially ones that go back over 15 years, is a tricky task. In many cases, the data is incomplete. Certainly in the cases of competitions like the Leinster Senior Cup and the now defunct EA Sports Cup, appearance and goalscoring data gets lost. Someone somewhere probably knows the true figure. If you’re one of those people and you happen to read this, feel free to fill me in.
