Calculating the exact number of matches across all competitions that a League of Ireland career spans, especially ones that go back over 15 years, is a tricky task. In many cases, the data is incomplete. Certainly in the cases of competitions like the Leinster Senior Cup and the now defunct EA Sports Cup, appearance and goalscoring data gets lost.
