It is just over 13 months since Trivela Group’s interest in Drogheda United became public knowledge. It was a circumstance - media reporting - neither party wanted as talks continued about investment into the club. Conversations had been ongoing for over six months at that point. Representatives of the sports investment company had first visited the town in January of last year. Their interest was serious and on Drogheda’s part, the group led by Benjamin Boycott and Wesley Hill were, by some distance, the club’s preferred investment partner.
