The Killian Brennan Interview: "There is not 1% of me that wants Derry City to win that cup"
Drogheda native Brennan established himself as a League of Ireland star at Derry City. His time in claret-and-blue was short-lived and unsuccessful. But his allegiances are to his hometown club.
It’s a wonderful bit of League of Ireland trivia. Name the League of Ireland player who has won the FAI Cup with three different clubs, in three different stadiums. The answer, you’ll have already guessed is Killian Brennan.
He did it with Derry City in 2006, at the old Lansdowne Road, as part of that double winning Bohemians team in 2008 at the RDS and then in 2014, he helped St Patrick’s Athletic end their 53-year wait for a cup triumph at the Aviva Stadium.
